The residents of ‘Friends Enclave’ at Civil Lines recently hosted ‘Annakut,’ (a Hindu festival, in which devotees prepare and offer a large variety of vegetarian food to Gods) at their society, which saw a huge participation of friends and family alike.

Interestingly, all the six hosts including senior architect Ashok Mokha, donned same outfits during the celebrations. When Nation Next asked Ramesh Mehta, one of the co-hosts and residents, about the dress code, he said, “We dress in same outfits to pass a message of unity in the society.” He further added, “We’re a group of six people, who organise Annakut each year. Our society ‘Friends Enclave’ has been cooperating and conducting Annakut religiously since 10 years now. Our daughters and daughter-in-laws actively participate in the event.”
