Antarang Decoratives organised its first ‘Indian Arts and Handicraft Exhibition’ at Chitnavis Centre

Antarang Decoratives, spearheaded by Aditi Khandelwal, recently organised its first exhibition ‘Indian Arts and Handicraft Exhibition’ at Chitnavis Centre, Nagpur. The exhibition comprised an array of paintings and handicraft items. There were four kinds of paintings that were displayed that included – fabric, pattachitra, embossed and handmade paintings within a price range of Rs 1500 to 10,000.

While there were paintings, there was also a section that showcased handicraft items like oxidised decor, brass decor, Italian momentz (silver coated), scented candles, fancy gel and wax candles, handicrafts, ring ceremony platter, haldi kukoo, toran and danglers.

When Nation Next spoke to Aditi Khandelwal, she said, “Antarang Decoratives was initially all about home décor but later we expanded our product line to handicrafts, jewellery and brass décor at Dharampeth, Nagpur.” She added, “Some paintings are made from the leaves of palm plant that are combined by stitching with a needle. The Pattachitra paintings have been made on cotton cloth. Each painting is unique. We have also exhibited wide range of jewellery right from gold polish, kundan, floral jewellery, etc. We even plan to provide jewellery on rent especially for wedding purpose.”

Nation Next spoke to one of the guests BK Agrawal, who was present during the exhibition. He said, “I must say that the exhibition is great. I don’t have much knowledge about paintings but I usually keep collecting exclusive art works.”
