Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal, accepted Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s invitation to visit Nagpur tomorrow (on January 27th and 28th) to study environment friendly projects that have been undertaken by Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). However, Gadkari even clarified that Kejriwal’s two-day visit isn’t political and that the two would be discussing NMC’s various initiatives, which the latter plans to implement in the capital.
As per sources, Kejriwal, who’s been a constant BJP critic, plans to study and discuss Nagpur’s wastewater management system apart from 24*7 water supply in the city.
Kejriwal, who will be arriving on January 27 evening and leave on 28th evening, plans to study certain models devised by NMC to reduce pollution in Delhi. Gadkari while speaking to The Indian Express said, “During a conversation with Kejriwal, I had told him about what the NMC has done to reduce pollution in Nagpur. So, he was interested in checking those out.”
