Orators define ‘limit’ at an elocution contest in Nagpur

An elocution competition called ‘Orator of The Year’ was recently organised by Oxford Speakers’ Academy at Amrut Bhavan, Andhra Association Hall, Nagpur. While the chief guest at the competition was Vinod Kumar Agrawal, Joint Director, NADT, the guest of honour was social activist Chandu Patil Marakwar. Also present at the event were Dr Chandrakant Raghatate and Dr Sanjay C Raghatate.

At the competition, 16 contestants competed against each other and spoke on the topic – The Meaning of Limit. Each of these contestants were given five minutes to speak on the topic. The competition was judged by Priyanka S Jaiswal, Archana S Patil, Rajendra Wadibhasme, Mohd Israil, Vijay Rajput, Shailesh Deshpande, Vivek Murarka and Ved Prakash Kumar. The contestants were judged on the basis of subject matter, body language, variety of examples, presentation, etc. After an intense contest, it was Vinay Hirani who was adjudged as the ‘Orator of The Year’ by the judges and was presented with a badge, sash, trophy and certificate.
