Students exhibit psychological experiments at Hislop College’s ‘Psycho Galaxy 2018’

The Department of Psychology of Hislop College recently organized their annual one-day exhibition and intercollegiate competition – Psycho Galaxy 2018 – in association with Nation Next as the online media partner. The event was sponsored by Joshi’s Exclusive and the chief guest at the competition was Dr Nihar Ranjan Mrinal.

At the competition, BA and MA students from Hislop college, two teams from Institute of Forensic Science and one team from St. Ursula Girl’s High School and Junior College, participated and put up their experiments at different stalls. They were judged by Dr Subodh Bansod, (HOD, Department of Psychology, RTMNU), Mamta Chhabariya (Alumni of Department of Psychology, Hislop College) and Dr Shoeb Khan (Assistant professor, Department of Chemistry, Hislop College).

The 1st prize at the competition was bagged by Ayesha Khan and Tehmina Abedin Chimthanawala. The 2nd prize went to Benhur Masih, Keerti Nandwani and Mahzareen Khan and the 3rd prize was given to Mrunmayi Meshram, Harshal Deshpande and Debabrata Chakraborti.

The 1st runners-up at the competition were Anjali Tamgadge, Kajal Kasare and Prachi Kathane from the Institute of Forensic Science. For the 2nd runners-up prize was jointly shared by – Aabha Sarda, Fatema Jamali and Himanshi Jashnan – Priyanka Mehra, Simran Goglani and Bhavesh Shrawane – and Tanmay Shanware, Bhavika Vasandani and Shruti Kulkarni. The ‘Most Popular Stall’ prize was given to Kalyani Deshpande, Aishwarya Lakhe and PS Shivani for their stall ‘Ishaaro Ishaaro Mein’.

Mala Singh (Head of Department of Psychology, Hislop College) announced the names of the prize winners and they were handed over the prizes by Vikash Khurana (Founder, Stagecraft theatre group).
