25,000 students do Yogasan together on Janardhan Swami’s 125th birth anniversary

More than 25,000 students from 150 schools did Yogasan together to mark the 125th birth anniversary of founder of Yogabhyasi Mandal - Janardhan Swami.
School students at the Yogasan contest held at Yashwant Stadium, Dhanoli, Nagpur, to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Janardhan Swami.

In what can be called a unique initiative, a massive Yogansan contest was organised on Saturday at Yashwant Stadium, Dhantoli, Nagpur, in association with the Education department of Maharashtra. At the event, more than 25,000 students from 150 different schools did Yogasan together to mark the 125th birth anniversary of founder of Yogabhyasi Mandal – Janardhan Swami. The event was organised in remembrance of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari’s mother Bhanutai Gadkari, who was a student of Janardhan Swami.

Present at the occasion were Nitin Gadkari’s wife – Kanchan Gadkari, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar, Vice Chancellor of SNDT University Dr Shashi Wanjari, MLAs Krishna Khopde and Sudhakar Kohale and coporators Sanjay Bangale, Rupa Rai and Sunil Bitanwar.
