Actor Kamal Haasan would launch his political party tomorrow (Wednesday, February 21), and also unfurl his party’s flag, in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Keriwal in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu.
A source close to the actor informed that Kejriwal has confirmed his presence for the political event, which would take place at former president APJ Abdul Kalam’s hometown. Earlier during the day, Haasan had planned to reach Madurai to finalise arrangements ahead of the mega event, which includes a rally. The actor would then announce the name of his political party and unfurl his party flag.
However, it’s no secret that the actor-turned-politician, like Kejriwal, had expressed his plans to eradicate corruption for the betterment of the people, something that Kejriwal had also said in his agenda while entering into politics.
As per news agency ANI when asked as to why he didn’t meet any leader from AIADMK government, he quipped, “I am taking the political plunge only because the ruling government is bad and that’s why I’m not meeting them.”
