Director and producer Karan Johar is not only a favourite of his fans but also a favourite of many Bollywood celebrities. As the filmmaker turned 45 today, many people from the film fraternity extended their warm wishes to Karan on social media. These celebirities included Anushka Shetty, Prabhas, Siddharth Kannan, Raghuvendra Singh, Sangram Singh, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Parineeti Chopra, Neha Dhupia, Maliaka Arora Khan, Manish Paul, Manish Malhotra, Gauri Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anushka Sharma, among many others.
Karan Johar became a household name when he directed the 1998 super hit movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukherjee in the lead roles. Soon after KKHH became a big hit, Karan was seen next behind the camera for the film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), after which he has directed several popular and trend changing movies like Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006), Student of the Year (2012), Bombay Talkies (2013), etc.
Karan Johar also recently released his book ‘An Unsuitable Boy’, in which he wrote about his personal life along with his professional life. Karan, about his personal life, had said following the launch of his book: “I wanted to be very modern about it because there was so much talk about marriage being a crumbling institution and how divorce was the new marriage and infidelity was a part of every home. I experienced it around me, with friends, with family.”
