As per reports, filmmaker Karan Johar has been sent a legal notice by the Health Department of the Delhi Government under the Cigarette and Other Tobacco Products Act (COTPA). This legal trouble can land Karan in jail for five years! Yes, you read that right.

Karan, who’s busy shooting the reality show India’s Next Superstar with director Rohit Shetty, got the notice as a result of a Kamala Pasand Pan Masala advertisement aired during the show. For the uninitiated, Karan’s Dharma Productions is involved in the making of the show along with Endemol Productions and that’s the reason behind the legal notice to Karan and the makers of the show. The Health department has given all of them 10 days to respond to the notice. Failure to respond will result in a legal case against Karan and the makers of the show.
