Twitter had a field day as Chief Minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar on Friday said that he’s started fearing as even girls have started drinking beer. Parrikar made the above comment while speaking at the State Youth Parliament organised by Legislature Secretariat in Porvorim. He said, “I have begun to fear now, because even the girls have started drinking beer. The tolerance limit is being crossed. I am not talking about everyone. I am not talking about the people who’re sitting here.”

Parrikar, while speaking about drug abuse and trade in Goa, informed that the government in Goa has carried out a crackdown on the same, which would continue until the problem of drugs is completely eradicated. As per a report in The Indian Express, Parrikar said that at least 170 people were arrested for drug peddling since the police took strict action against the trade.

Parrikar also asked the parents to keep a check on their children if they were getting indulged in the consumption and trading of drugs. He said that he has no belief that drug abuse and trade would come down to zero but he personally doesn’t believe that there’s much consumption of drugs in colleges.

After the CM expressed his concern on girls drinking beer, Twitter users posted pictures of women having beer. Check their tweets below!
