Nagpur boy bags the 1st runner-up trophy at Mr Gay World India 2018

A 23-year-old youngster from Nagpur - Ashish Chopra - was declared as the 1st runner-up at the Mr Gay World India 2018 pageant held in Mumbai.

A 23-year-old youngster from Nagpur – Ashish Chopra – was declared as the 1st runner-up at the (MGWI) Mr Gay World India 2018 pageant held at The Lalit, Mumbai, on January 13, 2018. While Samarpan Maiti, a scientist from Kolkata was declared as the winner, Debendra Nath Sanyal, who basically hails from Ranchi and is now based out of Mumbai, was declared as the 2nd runner-up. The other two finalists at the grand finale were Chirag Ghosar and Amitabh Das.

Ashish, who works at Wipro Limited in Pune as a recruiter, other than winning the 1st runner-up title also won the written test and the talent round at the pageant.

The grand finale was judged by Sushant Divgikar (Director, South West Asia, MGWI), actor and model Diandra Soares, actor and former Miss World India Natasha Suri, actor and Grasim Mr India 2005 Viraf Patel, model and Miss India Tourism 2017 Anjusha Bhattacharya and TV actor Twinkle Vasisth. Darshil Sh and Sanket Sveronic were organisers of the show along with Divgikar.

An elated Ashish, while speaking to Nation Next, said, “It’s great but I wanted be the winner. Never mind, I think I’ll participate next year as well to be the winner. “
