A filmmaking team from Nagpur – Create-e-witty Media Notions – on October 1, 2017 made the city proud by winning two awards for its two short films at the India Film Project Season 7 held at Nehru Centre, Mumbai. Both the films were made by the team in the estimated given time of just 50 hours.
India Film Project is touted as the Asia’s largest content creation and short film festival, wherein this year, more than 28,200 filmmakers from 290 cities across 18 countries submitted more than 1500 films. The lead jury at this year’s competition consisted of Ram Madhvani (Director, Neerja), director and producer Vipul Shah and Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary (Director, Pink).
While ‘Footsteps,’ a film made by this team won the Platinum Award in the mobile film category, another film ‘Faulen’ won the Gold Award in the professional film category. Both the awards were given to the team by Aniruddh Roy Chowdhary. City girl Bianca Nazareth Arya who acted in ‘Faulen’ was also given a special mention by the jury. This Nagpur team had also won the Gold Award in the amateur film category last year.
Both the films this year were directed by Aditya Sharma, shot by Kundan Sad and scripted by Ankit Bhuptani. Other members of the team included Aashish Maske and Tripti Rai (Art Direction), Chetan Gughane (Executive Producer), Mohit Khobragade and Payal Pillewar (Assistant directors), Pawan Piprode (Post production), Kushagra Jaiswal (Associate Director), Akshay Sawarkar (Production Manager), Raj Reddy (Background score), Akhilesh Tripathi (Casting director), Kaustubh Paralkar (Camera assistant), Prakash Muley (Lights), Seshu KMR (Sound effects), Nakul Shriwas (Make up), Laxmi Gadge, Siddhesh Patil, Abhilash Vishwakarma and Raaj Malaviya. The team were helped by city chef Vishnu Manohar, filmmaker Aditya Buty and Roheet Rahate with the locations and by Charan Srivastav with the equipment.
