60 Seconds Story: Nandanvan resident robbed of 600 grams of gold and Rs 50,000 cash

Narayan Kalyani, a resident of Nandanvan, Nagpur, was robbed of Rs 50,000 cash and 600 grams of gold worth more than Rs 16 lakhs.

→ Narayan Kalyani, a resident of Nandanvan, Nagpur, was a few days back robbed of Rs 50,000 cash and 600 grams of gold worth more than Rs 16 lakhs when a group of thieves broke into his house at around 7:45 pm.

→ The thieves broke into Narayan’s house when he was in his electronic store at Golibar Square with his son while other family members, which included his wife, daughter and daughter-in-law, were out for shopping.

→ When Nation Next spoke to Narayan he said, “When I reached home, I saw a man jumping off the compound wall of my house and running towards a car (MH 40 AC 7718), which was parked outside. I immediately unlocked the main gate and went inside my house. I was shocked to see that all the locks in house were already broken and lights were switched on. I immediately informed my neighbours and Nandanvan Police Station.”

→ Speaking to Nation Next, API Subhash Shejul, Nandanvan Police Station, said, “We have lodged an FIR against the thieves and further investigations are in process. The case is being handled by Crime Branch, Nagpur. The Forensic team has obtained fingerprints from a box, which was kept in the kitchen. We could not ascertain anything from the CCTV footage we obtained from Ashok Nakoda whose stays opposite to Narayan Kalyani’s residence.”
