Year 2017: F‘luck’tuative, but still write 2017, not ‘17!’
Yet another year goes by, time sure flies; but which way it flies may well determine ones fortunes. Brexit caused anxiety around the globe back home; nobody was spared from the woes of demonetisation.
In our New-Year story last year, we had said the year 2016=9, with the planet Mars that is fiery Red, so shall be one of the hottest years. The global heat record had been broken and each month was the hottest recorded month in history!
Red was our pick for the No 9th year of fiery-red Mars, West Indies Cricket team (Red) picked up 3 World Cups! The Euro Cup was picked by Portugal who sported red, stumping favourite France.
Chile (Red) defeated Argentina to win the Copa America Trophy!
Djokovic, sporting red, beat Ande Murray to script history by winning his maiden French Open and becoming the first player since 1969 to hold all four grand slams. In fact, Donald Trump’s party, Republicans, represented by red colour, again stunned one and all.
In the No 9 year, No 9, Salman Khan was predicted to have a fab 51st (6) in 2016 (9), as 3,6,9 are a family. Sultan that released on 24th (6) was a blockbuster while Khan was absolved of both his major cases too! No 9, Akshay Kumar (predicted to have a good year) gave Airlift and Rustom.
No 9, Sonam Kapoor too delivered her biggest hit with Neerja.
While Dipa Karmakar a No 9 made headlines, another No 9, Vijay Mallya got ‘airlifted’ from India this year. Our client, Mukesh Ambani (Aries ruler-9, Mars) launched Jio that adds to 9, (for which we okayed the spelling). Reliance gave their highest dividend since eight years. Scorpions were tipped to do well too as 9 (Mars) is Scorpio ruler.
Virat Kohli, a Scorpion had a dream year too! We said it could be an explosive year; India was on the media world-map as we retaliated with surgical strikes on Pakistan.
2017 gives us 1, Sun, that’s fiery hot again so we may not get respite from the heat for one more year till 2018 that adds to 2, Moon, colder and calmer. The world economy could be turbulent with the stock indices swinging crazily both ways.
India: why times will be trying!
The tough times for India post demonetisation may continue till next August 2018 as we are about to enter our 71st year of independence.
71=8, Saturn (Shani) the strict Lord of trials. In fact it was 8th Nov, a No 8 date when our PM made the announcement at 8 pm!
But after taking trials, Saturn can compensate well too; our 72nd year shall be far better, can even be a landmark year as 3,6,9 are a family and India adds to 3, Bharat, 6.
Yellow, gold, brown and orange would be the best shades in the year of Sun. Sun is the creative force that gives light and life. Creative industries like Bollywood would do better than the past year that wasn’t so ‘filmy’. Consultancy or ‘service’ providing industries (Banking) could shine, and so would manufacturing and advanced inventions, IT, software and technology.
Reliance honcho, Mukesh Ambani (19/04) is a No 1 too who would continue to be in the news.
The Sun is the creative force, which is so powerful that it gives us light and life to the universe. So radiant that we can hardly see any other planet or star, when the Sun is in its element.
Like the Sun, No 1 persons usually like to lead from the front, and do better in positions of authority over others. Those in authoritative positions, like company promoters, team leaders, politicians and bureaucrats could have a field year. Advanced inventions, solar energy, technology, IT, start-ups, computer and electronics could do well. Sun comes out early morning but catches heat only later in the day. Likewise, No 1s too can do well in latter part if they haven’t scored well in the beginning.
This can lead us to assume that the second half of 2017 could be more productive for the world economy than the first.
Sunny side of Sun
The richest Indians are amongst Mukesh Ambani, (19/04) Dilip Shanghvi (1/10) who add up to no 1 by their name too as well as their date of birth. While the richest in the World, Carlos Slim Helu (28/1), is also a no 1 who overtook another no 1, Bill Gates (28/10), Dhirubhai Ambani, Ratan Tata (both 28/12), Indira Gandhi, Sushmita Sen, Zeenat Aman, Dara Singh, (all four born on 19/11), Rekha, (10/10), Lata Mangeshkar (28/09), Aishwarya Rai (01/11), Sunil Gavaskar (10/07), Hrithik Roshan
(10/01), Shiamak Davar (19/10), Sanjeev Kapoor (10/04), are amongst some number 1 people who have shone in their fields. In fact, Osama Bin Laden was born on 10/03 too!
The first to win an individual Olympics Gold, Abhinav Bindra (28/09) is a no 1 as well.
Now, let us further analyse individually how the New Year could fare for those born on each number, from 1 to 9.
People born on the 1st, 10th, 19th and 28th in any month are termed as number 1 people and are ruled by the Sun.
2017 gives us 1, (your primary number), so you could look forward for more opportunities than the year gone by. But you need to capitalise and choose the better ones. Sealing a deal isn’t more difficult. Those willing to tie the knot or a job change should keep their eyes and ears glued. The second half could bring more promises than the first. Finances should go up, but the challenge will be to hold on to what you made. Keep one eye on savings, especially long term ones. In fact, one good year can take one ahead by a few years too. Those in position of authority will have to fulfill expectations of juniors who shall look upon you for a boost; try not to disappointment them. Remember, with more power comes more responsibilities.
Draw a line between over-activity and in-activity

Number 2 represents the Moon, and they are persons born on the 2nd, 11th, 20th and 29th of any month. If 2016 didn’t meet your expectations then the good news is that 2017 can even perhaps surpass some of your aspirations. Moon, your ruler makes you creative and dreamy, but to achieve dreams it’s necessary to wake-up! The year of the Sun, 2017, is the right time to come out of hibernation for those who have been planning their career move. If you combat your mind (read mood), then there is so much fame awaiting you. You are destined for honours, awards and recognition if you follow your goals and sixth sense. Those suffering from health issues can bounce back. The magnetic rays of the Sun can make you feel rejuvenated. And for eligible singles, now’s the time to mingle! Financially you may overspend, but remember what fellow no 2 Shah Rukh Khan once said-
‘Spend so much that you find ways to make more!’
Alternate remedies can help overcome restlessness. If you conquer your mind, this will take care of your body.
Examples of some famous No. 2s
Shah Rukh Khan (2nd Nov), Rajesh Khanna, (29th Dec), Dilip Kumar, (11th Dec), Amitabh Bachchan (11th Oct), Ajay Devgn (2nd April) and Sanjay Dutt (29 July).
People born on the 3rd, 12th, 21st and 30th in any month are termed as number 3 people, ruled by the biggest planet Jupiter. You are hardly ever cash-strapped so demonetisation would have come to you as a rude shock. Though you would feel cramped, remember that you have and will come out of the tightest of situations with bravado. Tough times don’t last, tough people do! Though you have set high standards of achievements, sometimes one can bank on past-laurels too. Your hard-working and enterprising nature would sail you eventually. Focus on loved ones. Don’t neglect them when they need you the most.
Not being too expressive in matters of love and affection is not a license that will help forever. So, work on this grey area.
Do not strain yourself too much, physically nor mentally.

So, number 4s are also indirectly influenced by the magnetic rays of the Sun. If 2016 was a mixed bag, then you shall be relieved this year. Your best number is 1, (Sun) and you can bank on 2017 to be a year that can be remembered as a landmark year for some years to come. For those who want to prove their mettle, now is the time to spend and capitalise your resources. For students, it can be learning and enriching experience and you can progress in research and development. Though expenses could mount, treat this as an investment that shall multiply into long-term returns. Those eligible, have a greater chance to tie the knot. Others looking for better job prospects can be equally lucky.
Take care of your lungs, throat and feet; guard against urinary problems.
Worship the Sun as it gives light and life.
Examples of some famous no 4s
Barack Obama, Kishore Kumar, Sridevi, Tabu, Juhi Chawla, Preity Zinta.
People born on the 5th, 14th, 23rd in any month are termed as number 5s, ruled by Mercury, which is the fastest. Mercury melts with heat and number 1 Sun (in 2017) is fiery. The trick is to disguise your aggression and focus on more meaningful jobs in hand. Your dry wit can act as a shield too; use your communication skills to your advantage. But being a good listener is equally important. Though you love to travel, there would be fewer opportunities than usual. Which is not a very bad thing. Money saved is money earned! If you are persistent enough, you will score, even if the run-rate could be slower than your expected pace. So, try to remain at the crease. Being an adaptable personality, you love to be amongst friends, flip side being you get bored of them quickly too. Focus on a particular relationship that can endure so you get back the love with equal intensity.
Alternate remedies like yoga and meditation can help ward off depression and anxiety. An emerald can help too.

Donald Trump, Virat Kohli, Aamir Khan, Rohit Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kajol.

Last years luck could rub off for some time only before. You need to eventually recoup your energies. You should brace yourself to push harder to achieve desired results and recognition. Do not allow yourself to get downhearted if your efforts don’t fructify. If you don’t win a race, do a detailed analysis. Make it a learning experience; eventually nothing gets wasted. Your charismatic nature can charm the best; bank on this side of your disposition. Usually a spendthrift, do not let the ‘cashless’ economy make you splurge. Love and romance are things that you can hardly do without too. So, work overtime to let the momentum and bond last longer. You don’t want to again invest more time in a newer relationship, do you?
Health Tips– Work on your food habits, do not over indulge. Pay attention to physical fitness.

You could juggle between spirituality and materialistic spheres with ease with one leg on either side. Your past efforts could get you the recognition and rewards too. This good phase can last two years and continue till the end of 2018. Your love life that may have seen some upheavals can get sorted too but not without efforts from your end. Remember, it’s a two-way street. Finances could look up from August onwards. Till then you have to fight your own battle. However, from the second half of the year, you may expect a good phase for alliances and partnerships. You will once again treat life as a team-game.
Your mind rules over your body; yoga and meditation may work even better than gym.

If you have been grossly misunderstood in the recent months that went by, you will have the opportunity to clean the slate now. Try not to feel lonely and isolated. You could do with more than the few friends that you have. Basking in their presence will bring out the hidden best out of you. This can also help clear the air. Those looking to get hitched can have more opportunities coming their way. Number one, i.e. Sun (in 2017) and eight, Saturn, are like father and son. So, love and hate cannot be ruled out. As a result, do not stretch matters till the edge. Try not to wait till the end to complete targets, with time being so unpredictable. With patience and perseverance, Saturn blesses you with will power and determination. Post July 2017, you can expect if not exactly a windfall but at least compensations that will strengthen your belief in mankind. In matters of relationship and romance, don’t let your shyness make you miss the bus. If you can’t be loud and bold, come out of the shell at least. It’s a beautiful world out there!

Number nine, Mars and one, Sun (in 2017) are poles apart, common factor being both are fiery and are pillars of the number game. Do not let your ego come in between relationships, personal or professional lives. Your karmas and hard work can help avoid mishaps. The secret is to stay busy; this way time will fly faster. Those looking for a job change shall try to instead lie low; usually we don’t go out for a drive when there’s a storm coming. Most times, known enemies are better than unknown. Socially, you could do a lot for your fellow men. Leading from the front can come naturally to you. Romance can be the grey area that needs some ironing.
Spend some time on physical fitness, but also guard against accidents. Don’t drive rashly. Red Coral can help too.
