The second day of Kalidas Samaroh celebrated Lord Shiva as it’s central theme at Deshpande Hall on November 21. As noted artist Rahul Sharma mesmerised Nagpurians with his magical Santoor recital, Kalapini Komkali too engaged the audience with her melodious voice.

The event was organised by the Divisional Commissioner of Nagpur Anoop Kumar, with noted Marathi play writer Mahesh Elkunchwar as it’s chief guest. Justice Prasanna Varale and District Collector Sachin Kurve were some of the guests. Kalapini Komkali, noted classical singer, told Nation Next, “Kalidas Samaroh is a beautiful theme, where ‘Kumarsambhavis’ is considered to be Kalidas finest work. It’s an epic love story of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. I feel honoured and blessed to be a part of this event. It’s always amazing to perform in Nagpur.”
