Celebrity makeup artist Varssha Sugandh Tilokani from Mumbai recently held a makeup session ‘Personal Makeup Master Class’ for Nagpurians at Chitnavis Centre.

Varssha personally attended everybody present and made them learn different applications of makeup for different occasions. While Varsha used products as good as Anastasia Beverly Hills, Bobbi Brown, Huda, MAC, Maybelline, L’Oreal, etc, she also guided the women present about the various makeup brands and the products best suited for their respective skin tones.

The idea behind this session was to introduce the correct techniques and products that meet the needs at an individual level. The session was divided into:

→ Skin care

→ Product knowledge

→ The tools (right brushes and products)

→ Techniques

→ Creating different looks  (foundation routine, nude makeup, soft party makeup, sultry smoky eyes, glitter application, contour and highlighting, blush application and techniques, how to make your lipstick last longer and much more)

→ Understanding textures and colours

Varssha said, “Women today feel more insecure about their appearances and the way they look, thinking makeup will conceal all their flaws. Feeling good starts with feeling beautiful from within and that is something that strikes on the outside. Products do play an important role but how to use them in the correct way is more important. After all, it’s power packed in the bottle.”

Varssha feels that one cannot learn makeup by watching videos. She said, “We all have different face structure and concerns. It’s all about practice and knowing what works best for you.”
