Vidarbha secures a 100+ lead against Delhi; Wadkar and Sarwate score half-centuries

With the help of half-centuries from Akshay Wadkar and Aditya Sarwate, Vidarbha secured a lead against Delhi on Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy final.

Vidarbha secured a lead against Delhi on Sunday on the Day 3 of the Ranji Trophy final at the Indore’s Holkar Cricket Stadium. With the help of half-centuries from Akshay Wadkar and Aditya Sarwate, Vidarbha’s total has gone beyond 400 runs giving it a lead of more than 100 runs against Delhi at the loss of six wickets.

Wasim Jaffer, who was unbeaten at 61 at the end of Day 2, couldn’t convert his half-century into a century and lost his wicket to Delhi’s Navdeep Saini at 78. Sarwate and Wadkar, however, even after Jaffer’s wicket fell, kept the momentum going for Vidarbha and took the team to a commanding position.
