This morning, I was a little tricked from the WhatsApp forward I received and it somewhere got my attention. February 2017 is not only going to be all about Valentine’s Day but this is something special, which happens once in 823 years! Chinese term this as Money Bags as this is considered to be the luckiest month with pocket full of money. *Sigh! *

February 2017 isn’t a leap year with 29 days so we have 28 days. What’s mystifying is the fact that February 2017 has seven days repeating four times equally. This makes it a month that has four Sundays, four Mondays, four Tuesdays, four Wednesdays, four Thursdays, four Fridays and four Saturdays.

Confused?

To satiate my amusement and curiosity, I googled the entire thing. What I understood was something that required plain common sense so, I thought of passing it on to all my readers. So, the fact of the matter is –

Except for the leap year, all Februaries have 28 days and eventually have four weeks. So, if the first day of the month starts on Sunday, the last day of the month will be Saturday. Hence, all Februaries have four Sundays, four Mondays, four Tuesdays, four Wednesdays, four Thursdays, four Fridays and four Saturdays. *Phew! *

If it’s a leap year, the month will have five days, which means if the leap February starts with a Monday, then there will be five Mondays!

The most interesting part of this WhatsApp forward was, “Send it to at least five people, or five groups and you’ll get loads of money in February!” *Tears of joy! *
