Medical education programme on cancer for medical officers

Details: Cancer Relief Society and RST Regional Cancer Hospital will be organising a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme for creating awareness and detection of cancer for state government medical officer and paramedical staff of Nagpur division. This programme will be conducted in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association. While Dr Sanjay Jaiswal (Deputy Director, Health Services, Nagpur) will be inaugurate the programme, Dr Avinash Wase (President, IMA, Nagpur), Dr UB Nawade (Civil surgeon) and Dr Archana Kothari (Secretary, IMA) will also be present.

Police Raising Day celebrations

Details: Citizen Forum for equality will be celebrating the police raising day wherein the the Police band will be performing patriotic songs. While Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti will be the chief guest at the celebrations, former MPs Vilas Muttemwar and Gev Awari, Ashutosh Shewalkar and Vedprakash Jaiswal will also be present.

Kho Kho tournament

Details: Maharashtra Krida Mandal will be organising a two-day junior and sub-junior Kho Kho tournament in the memory of PG Dashputra and Shailesh Nagose. informed that the sub junior meet will be played at city level and junior category will see teams from district also in action. Corporator Sandeep Joshi will be inaugurating the tournament in the presence of Padmakar Charmode (Secretary, Maharashtra Krida Mandal).

Bharatnatyam Arangetram of Ramya Iyer

Details: Ramya Iyer, disciple of Guru Ratnam Janardhanan and a senior student of Pratibha Nritya Mandir will be performing Bharatnatyam Arangetram. While, well known surgeon and former soldier of Indian Army, Dr Natarajan Iyer will be the chief guest, Dr K S Bharathi, Department of Gandhian Thoughts, RTMNU will be the guest of honour.

Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar to Madhu Mangesh Karnik

Details: Renowned Litterateur Padma Shri Madhu Mangesh Karnik will be conferred with the Nalini Balkrushna Deopujari Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar by Padmagandha Pratishthan.
While Dr V S Jog will be inaugurating the programme, Dr Girish Gandhi and Dr Pragya Apte will be present at the occasion. Dr Pankaj Chande (Former Vice Chancellor, Kavikuluguru Kalidas Sanskrutik University, Ramtek) will be giving away the award and will preside over the programme.
