According to a private weather forecaster ‘Skymet,’ Nagpur on Wednesday became the hottest city in the country with a temperature of 44.1°C.

Despite the scorching heat, around 11, 47, 640 Nagpurians came forward to vote in 42°C till 5 pm for the Lok Sabha elections today.

Despite the scorching heat, as per Returning Officer of Nagpur Parliamentary Constituency’s records, around 11, 47, 640 Nagpurians came forward to vote in 42°C till 5 pm for the Lok Sabha elections today.

Phase I Report

Nagpur recorded 53.13% voting till 5 pm that included 6,03,718 male, 5,43,908 female and 14 other voters. However, the total list of voters comprised: 21,60,217 voters that included 10,96,329 male voters, 10,63,811 female voters and 77 other gender voters. However, as per reports, the final percentage of voting in the city has been said to be around 58%.
