A shocking incident came into light where 13-year-old minor raped his five-year-old neighbor in Nandanvan’s Jagnade Chowk area in Nagpur. The then 11-year-old teenager sexually exploited his neighbor who was then barely a 3-year-old kid. The incident took place between the months of August 2017 to June 2019.

The minor had even threatened the child of dire consequences if she ever shared details of the regular incidents with anybody. However, the survivor’s mother learnt about the barbaric act after the former narrated some harrowing details to her friend.

The friend in turn immediately alerted the child’s mother who immediately sought legal action against the minor. Kotwali Police Station on Wednesday registered a case of rape under the IPC and Prevention of Children against Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act against the minor after the mother filed a complaint.

Senior police inspector at Kotwali Police Station Dyaneshwar Bhosle informed Nation Next, “While the minor was taken to the juvenile court, the child was sent for a medical examination. Her reports are normal. By what we’ve found out, it seems the incident took place for a year but the child says it occurred for almost two years.”
