19-year-old VNIT student commits suicide by hanging self to ceiling fan

    A 19-year-old student studying in Nagpur’s VNIT committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan at the college hostel on Wednesday at around 7:30 pm.

    A 19-year-old student studying in Nagpur’s VNIT (Vishvesvaraya National Institute of Technology) committed suicide by hanging himself to a ceiling fan in his room at the college hostel on Wednesday at around 7:30 pm.

    The boy, who has been indentified has Manojkumar Gyanpuram Vyankata Surnarayana, was a resident of Korba in Chhatisgarh.

    While the details behind the drastic step taken by the student are yet not known, when Nation Next tried reaching Senior PI Suresh Pathak from Bajaj Nagar Police Station, he could not be reached. On the basis of complaint by professor Dr Ganesh Chintaman Patil, Bajaj Nagar Police have booked a case of accidental death.
