Two inmates currently lodged at Nagpur’s Central Jail, who have been confined at a death row, created a ruckus by indulging into an ugly fight on Tuesday morning. The two convicts, who have been identified as Naved Rashid Hussain Khan (40) and Mohammed Ajam Aslam Bhat (40), also manhandled a constable Ishwardas Tulsiram Bahekar (44) when he tried to pacify the two.

While Naved Hussain is convicted in the involvement in 1993’s Mumbai bomb blast case, Bhat is convicted in a murder case.

Speaking to Nation Next PI (Police Inspector) at Dhantoli Police Station Dilip Landge said, “The manhandled constable along with the higher authorities of the Central Jail have lodged a complaint against the two convicts for deterring a public servant from discharge of duty and committing disruption on the jail premises. We are still uncertain about the reason behind their fight but our team is investigating the matter further. One is a convict in the1993 bomb blast while the other is convicted in a murder case.”

The police have registered a complaint against both the convicts under sections 353, 160 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).
