386 Coronavirus positive cases reported in India in 24 hours, tally crosses 1600

Lav Agarwal, Joint Secretary of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Wednesday, informed that 386 new cases of coronavirus and 3 deaths have been reported in India in last 24 hours.

It is the biggest spike in a single day since the first case of COVID-19 was reported in India. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India has now reached 1,637.

Agrawal said that one of reasons of the sudden rise in positive cases is the travel by members of Tablighi Jamat. Agrawal also said that the rise in positive cases is not a ‘national trend.’
