They are visually impaired but they can regale the audience with their melodious voices. ‘Roshni Drushtiheen Orchestra,’ led by Ghanshyam Mehta, which has all blind performers, certainly struck the right chord with audience. The first day of 42nd Giants International Convention, was held at RSS headquarters Nagpur, today (December 16, 2016), which has Nana Chudasama as its World Chairman with Shaina NC as its World Chairperson. Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping Nitin Gadkari graced the event as its chief guest.

The event commenced with Ganesha Vandana post which blind singers Jiauddin and Naznin enthralled the audience with songs like ‘Shirdiwale Sai Baba’ and ‘Ae mere vatan ke logo’ (which got a standing ovation), which inspired the audience.

Shaina NC and Nitin Gadkari, along with other ‘giants,’ lit the ceremonial lamp. Nitin Gadkari, recalling his younger days with Nana Chudasama, said, “I’ve known Nana for 35 years now. This is one of the very few organisations that has been successfully surviving since 42 years. Nana has always been a social worker. I congratulate him for this initiative. He’s always helped the needy. What more? He’s an environmentalist too! Also, 42nd Giants International Convention’s initiative of organ donation awareness too is worth appreciating, as people need to be aware of it. Unfortunately, he couldn’t make it to this event, as traveling at his age isn’t really comfortable. But, Shaina’s following her father’s footsteps and I’m glad.”
