Nagpur youngster steals bike on pretext of ‘test drive’

A complaint was filed against a Nagpur youngster by Rana Pratap Nagar Police for stealing a bike on the pretext of taking a ‘test drive.’ The youngster has been identified as Karan Jade.

As per the police, the complainant Bhavesh Thakurdas Varyani (20), a resident of Vaishali Nagar, has put up an advertisement on the buying and selling app OLX for selling his KTM RL 200 bike for Rs 1, 50,000. Karan contacted Bhavesh and expressed interest in buying the bike.

On Tuesday, at around 9:30 pm Karan called Bhavesh at Pratap Nagar Square. Bhavesh, who was accompanied by a friend, was then taken by Karan near Radhe Mangalam Hall saying that he stays near the hall. Karan then asked for a ‘test drive’ of the bike and also told Bhavesh and his friend and he will also bring his (Karan’s) friend while returning from the test drive.

When Karan did not return, Bhavesh filed a complaint with Rana Pratap Nagar Police, which has booked Karan under section 406 of the IPC.
