Indian Idol winner and playback singer Abhijeet Sawant, who was in Nagpur on Saturday (August 10), while speaking to Nation Next said that he would like to continue his career as a singer and not as an actor. The Mohabbatein Lutaaunga singer spoke about his decision when asked about his acting roles in the 2009 movie Lottery and TV shows like Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hain and CID.

Sawant, who has been to Nagpur several times before, was in the city for promotions of &TV singing reality show Love Me India Kids. Sawant will be mentor on the show for the participants of the west zone. Speaking about being a mentor on the show, Abhijeet Sawant said, “I’ll try my best to not pressurise the contestants as I think children become under confident when they are pressurised by someone. I’ll work with them as a friend and not as a pressurising parent.”
