With two people succumbing to COVID-19 in a single day (May 30) in Nagpur, city’s death toll of coronavirus has reached 11. The latest casualty of COVID-19 in the city is a 73-year-old man, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital. The man had a history of hypertension and other health related issues. He was shifted to government hospital after he tested positive on May 29.
Earlier in the day, a 50-year-old COVID-19 positive beggar from Central Avenue, who was put on ventilator two days back also succumbed to coronavirus. The man was also suffering from liver cirrhosis.
On May 31, a COVID-19 patient from Akola, who was shifted to Nagpur for treatment, also passed away increasing Akola’s death tally by 1.
Meanwhile, the total tally of coronavirus cases in Nagpur has crossed 530. Two health workers working at an institutional quarantine facility in Nagpur also tested positive on Sunday. So far, over 365 patients have been discharged from hospital after recovery.
