An Air India flight from Delhi to Moscow was called back on Saturday after the airline’s ground team found out that the pilot had tested positive for COVID-19. The flight was empty and was heading to Moscow in Russia from Delhi as part of Vande Bharat Mission to bring back stranded Indians. The aircraft had reached Uzbekistan’s airspace when it was called back.
Officials said, “The flight was immediately asked to return. It came back to Delhi at around 12.30 pm on Saturday. The crew has been quarantined. Another plane would be sent to Moscow to bring back the stranded Indians.”
