Ajit Pawar gets clean chit in 70,000 crore irrigation scam after 48 hours of swearing in as Deputy CM

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar has been given a clean chit in Rs 70,000 irrigation scam just after 48 hours of swearing in as the Deputy CM. The scam case was officially closed today.

The scam is about alleged corruption and irregularities in approval and execution of various irrigation projects in Maharashtra during the NCP-Congress rule.

Pawar was among the NCP ministers who were in charge of the irrigation department at different times between 1999 to 2014 during NCP-Congress rule in Maharashtra.
