Talented actress Alia Bhatt will star as the female lead opposite mega star Salman Khan in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next film – Inshallah. The film, which will be produced by Salman and Bhansali, marks the association of Salman and Bhansali for a film after two decades.
Salman took to twitter to share the news as he wrote, “It’s been 20 years but I am glad Sanjay and I are finally back in his next film, ‘Inshallah’ Looking forward to work with Alia and inshallah we will all be blessed on this journey. #Inshallah #SLB @aliaa08 @bhansali_produc @SKFilmsOfficial.”
An ecstatic Alia also shared her happiness as she tweeted, “I was nine when I first walked into Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s office, all nervous and hoping and praying that I would be in his next film. It’s been a long wait. Dream with your eyes wide open they say and I did. Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who made his directorial debut with the movie Khamoshi – The Musical in 1996, apart from his debut film also worked with Salman in the 1999 popular film Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam starring Salman, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Ajay Devgn. Salman also made a brief appearance in Bhansali’s 2007 film Saawariya, which launched the careers of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor.
