Amid lockdown, 18-year-old loots Rs 1.13 lakh from Nagpur’s SBI Bank

At a time when the whole city has been locked down to avoid spread of Coronavirus, an 18-year-old boy looted Rs 1,13,960 from the Vaishali Nagar branch of SBI Bank in Nagpur.

As per the police, on March 27, the unidentified boy went to the bank and kept a knife across the neck of bank employee Tushar Bawangade. The boy then asked another employee Sarika Jambhulkar (35) to hand over all the cash she had at the time. The thief also asked another SBI Bank employee Nilesh Kinkar to hand over cash from counter no.6.

On the basis of a complaint filed by Jambhulkar, Panchpaoli Police have a case against the boy under sections 392 of the IPC.
