Amid lockdown, liquor worth Rs 74,000 stolen from shop in Nagpur

Amid the 21-day-lockdown imposed in Nagpur, 33 boxes of country liquor worth Rs 73,755 were stolen from a country liquor shop situated in MIDC area.

As per the police, the robbery must have taken place between March 18 and March 31. The thief is said to have broken the back door of the shop to steal the liquor.

Speaking to Nation Next, PI Hemant Kharbe from MIDC Police Station, “We’re yet to nab the thief as all police personnel in the city have been deployed to ensure that no one violates the lockdown imposed by PM Modi to contain spread of coronavirus.”

MIDC Police have registered a case under sections 454 and 380 of the IPC against the unidentified thief.
