BJP President Amit Shah said that Kashmir issue remained unsolved only due to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He said that it was because Nehru handled the issue in the wrong way, Pakistan indulged in terrorism. Blaming Nehru further, the BJP chief on Thursday said that the recent Pulwama attack was due to Nehru.

Shah made the scathing remarks in Andhra Pradesh while addressing a meeting with BJP workers. He said that Congress shouldn’t politicise the Kashmir issue and Pulwama incident.

He said, “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel handled Hyderabad and it’s respectfully a part of India but Nehru handled Kashmir and it continues to be a problem.” Shah said that Kashmir is burning because of Nehru; had Patel been the PM then, he would have solved the Kashmir issue.

ANI quoting Shah during a rally in Jammu, said, “I want to tell him (Rahul Gandhi) that if questions are being raised about Kashmir today, it’s because of your great-grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru. When our forces were going to conquer PoK, who stopped them? It was Jawaharlal Nehru.”

On 14th February, terrorists killed 44 CRPF jawans in the Pulwama region of Kashmir.
