BJP President Amit Shah, in an obvious reference to the Congress party as well as other governments, said that what no government could do in 70 years, PM Narendra Modi did in three years of being in power. “Some people are asking what did the Narendra Modi government do? I just want to say, it did in three years what all governments did not do in 70 years,” he said.

Taking a dig at Congress, he said that those who are questioning Modi’s performance should first evaluate their own achievements when they were in power for decades.

Reacting to Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi’s accusation of ‘broken promises’ and ‘non performance,’ Shah responded by saying that people want to know what they did in 70 years.

Shah, by complaining that there are 16 crore families in India who don’t have a toilet, said that the NDA government has built crores of toilets in the last three years.

As the BJP President recalled that once the party had just a handful of legislators in India, he claimed that the BJP’s the biggest party in the world, which is running governments in many states.
