Amravati man who died of pneumonia tests positive | COVID-19…
A 45-year-old man from Amravati, who died of pneumonia on April 2, was found to be COVID-19 positive a day later. The man died at District General Hospital while undergoing treatment for pneumonia. Earlier, the man was admitted at a private hospital where the doctors asked him to visit a government hospital after the man grew difficulty in breathing. The man’s swab sample was sent to Nagpur for testing and he was found positive for Coronavirus.
Four members of the deceased’s family have been kept in quarantine for 14 days and the entire area near his residence is being sanitized.
Testing of all the people, who came in contact with the man, is underway. This is the second case of Coronavirus death in Vidarbha. Few days ago a 45-year-old man from Buldhana had also died after testing positive for the virus.
