Arnab Goswami accuses Youth Congress for attack on him; calls Sonia Gandhi ‘biggest coward’…
Republic TV Chief Arnab Goswami claimed that two Youth Congress members attacked him and his wife while they were on their way back home on Wednesday midnight. However, Goswami and his wife escaped unhurt in the attack.
Goswami in his police complaint said, “Two men on a motorcycle overtook my car and tried to identify who was driving. They then blocked the path of my car with their two-wheeler. The pillion rider hit the right side driver window several times and after realising that the car windows were up, the pillion rider removed a liquid bottle from his pocket and threw liquid on the driver’s side of the car where I was sitting.”
Goswami also accused Congress chief Sonia Gandhi for the attack and called her the ‘biggest coward in the country right now.’
Goswami, who blamed Gandhi for orchestrating the Palghar lynching, said Gandhi would send a report to Italy about the fact that she is getting Hindu saints killed in Palghar in Maharashtra. Goswami on his TV channel said, “Would Sonia Gandhi have been quiet if Muslim preachers or Christian saints had been killed instead of Hindu sants? She’s quiet today, but I think she feels happy that Hindu saints were killed in a state where Congress has a stake in the government. She will send a report to Italy about the fact that she is getting Hindu saints killed in Maharashtra.”
Congress workers and leaders across the country registered an FIR against Goswami for his remarks on Gandhi.
Local residents in Gadakchinchale village of Palghar district on the suspicion that they were thieves lynched three Mumbai residents, who were on their way to Silvassa on April 16. The men who were lynched were reportedly Hindu religious leaders.
