Artists promote bamboo plantation through art at workshop in Nagpur

    Around 300 artists, to promote bamboo plantation and cultivation in Maharashtra, participated in a unique Bamboo painting workshop on September 1 and 2 organised by Lalitya Foundation at Van Sabhagruha, Seminary Hills in Nagpur. The workshop, which was organised in association with Nation Next as the online media partner, was supported by Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board and Green Planet social foundation.

    Experienced artists who helped the budding artists during the workshop include: Falguni Chaitanya, Sanjay More, Umesh Charole, Rajesh Basak and Upendra Nayak. While the bamboos were provided to the artists by Maharashtra Bamboo Development board, the colours and other painting material was provided by Lalitya Foundation.

    Along with artists, also present during the two-day workshop were Prasad Pimprikar (Founder President, Lalitya Foundation), TSK Reddy (Managing Director, Maharashtra Bamboo Development Board) and Aanand Fiske (Director, Green Planet Social Foundation).
