Arun Jaitley files 10 crores defamation case against Arvind Kejriwal

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley filed yet another defamation suit seeking 10 crores against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. Kejriwal’s lawyer senior advocate lawyer Ram Jethmalani called Jaitley a ‘crook’ while cross-examining in a case.

Jethmalani then clarified that he used the term ‘crook’ in the open court on instructions of Kejriwal. However, Kejriwal’s advocate on record revealed that there was no such instruction by the CM. The court proceedings abruptly when Kejriwal’s and Jaitley’s lawyers indulged in heated exchanges.

Jaitley had even warned Jethmalani that he would aggravate the charges against Kejriwal. Jaitley had initially accused Kejriwal and five of his party members of defaming him in 2015. The Aam Admi Party members had accused Jaitley of corruption as the president of the Delhi and District Cricket Association.
