Arun Jaitley suffering from kidney-related ailment, may soon be admitted at AIIMS

As per reports in the media, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley may have to undergo a surgery at AIIMS soon for a kidney ailment he is suffering from.

As per reports in the media, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley may have to undergo a surgery soon at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a kidney ailment he is suffering from. Jaitley, 65, who is currently undergoing diagnostic tests, has been advised by the doctors against going in public fearing infection.

The finance minister has not been attending his office since Monday and has been clearing the files from his residence. Notably, Jaitley even skipped the oath taking ceremony recently after being elected as the Rajya Sabha MP from Uttar Pradesh.

As per reports, the doctors from AIIMS are attending Jaitley at his residence and he may soon be admitted at the Cardio-Neuro Tower at the hospital. The Cardio-Neuro facility is hosued in a separate building and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. There are also reports that Jaitley may undergo a kidney transplant at AIIMS.
