At Rs 140 per litre, Milk in Pakistan gets costlier than petrol and diesel

    Owning to heavy demand on the occasion of Muharram, milk in Pakistan got costlier than petrol and diesel on Tuesday.

    As per reports, while milk in Karachi and Sindh was being sold for Rs 140 per litre, petrol and diesel were being sold for Rs 113 per litre and Rs 91 per litre respectively.

    Though the official price fixed for milk by government is Rs 94 per litre, retail price set by shopkeepers is Rs 110 per litre. However, during Ashura, which is the 10th day of Muharram, milk was being sold for Rs 140 per litre.
