BCCI donates Rs 51 crore towards PM-CARES fund for fight against COVID-19

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday that the cricketing body will donates Rs 51 crore towards the PM-CARES (Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations) Fund to help fight the Coronavirus pandemic.

The decision was taken by by Sourav Ganguly (President, BCCI), Jay Shah (Honorary secretary, BCCI Office Bearers along with the members from affiliated state associations, informed statement released by BCCI.

The statement further read, “The Board along with its state associations will continue to monitor and work closely with the Government of India, state governments and other state regulatory bodies and are committed to providing support to the state machinery in the face of adversity.”
