Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s nephew to be in Nagpur on August 14

Advocate Kiranjeet Singh, the nephew of freedom fighter Shaheed Bhagat Singh, will be in Nagpur on August 14 to preside over a mass recital of ‘Vande Mataram’ to be held at Sakkardara Square at 7:30 am. The mass recital event will be organised by Matrubhumi Pratisthan to celebrate ‘Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas.’ Thousands of people are expected to participate during the event.

While Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will be the chief guest during the event, also present during the event will be Yoga Guru Mahi Baba, Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar, MLA Sudhkar Kohale, MLCs Nago Ganor, Girish Vyas, among others.

At the event, people from different areas of life will be felicitated for their outstanding contribution towards the society. Those who will be felicitated include: Brigadier Madhav Khanzode, Major General Ajit Gadre, Sargeant Dinkar Kadu, Bilas Dawne and Naresh Barwe.

Speaking about Kiranjit Singh’s presence at the event, Dr Ravindra Bhoyar, organiser of the event, said, “There are a very few people who are aware about the importance of Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas. A person who knows everything about this day will only be able to speak about its relevance. Who better than Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s nephew to speak about such an important day!”
