Bhaiyyuji Maharaj

In yet another shocking twist, Indore police discovered that spiritual leader Bhaiyyuji Maharaj in his alleged second page of suicide note gave his power of attorney to his ‘trusted’ associate Vinayak. Bhaiyyuji is survived by his wife Dr Ayushi, whom he married in 2017, and daughter, who studies in Pune.

The note read, “My all powers of finance, properties, bank accounts … all power of signing authorities will be Vinayak because I am having trust in Vinayak. I am writing this thing without pressure.”

Indore Police had recovered the first page of the alleged suicide note, in which the spiritual leader had said that he was ‘stressed out’ and ‘fed up.’ The note mentioned, “Somebody should be there to handle duties of family…I am leaving…so much stressed out, fed up.”

Bhaiyyuji Maharaj (Dr Uday Singh Deshmukh) at the age of 50 allegedly shot himself dead on his forehead yesterday afternoon (June 12) at his residence at Indore. The spiritual leader, who suffered major head injuries, was brought dead at the Bombay Hospital in Indore.

The Indore-based self-proclaimed spiritual guru was a former model who was accorded the status of Minister of State (MoS) by Shivraj Singh Chouhan government in April 2018 but Maharaj declined the same. Maharaj, as per news agency IANS, had said, “A post holds no importance for a saint. All he has ought to think of is service to the people. When a post or status does not touch your mind, intellect or conscience, why think about it.”

However, the reason for his suicide and the number of bullets fired remain unknown. It is being said that the spiritual leader was suffering from depression.
