Bhavya Gandhi, who has been playing the role of Tappu on the popular television show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for the last eight years has quit the show. Bhavya was part of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah – which is one of the longest running shows in Indian television history – ever since the beginning of the show. He has literally grown up from a kid to a teenager on the show.
The reason for Bhavya quitting the show is said to be his desire to explore other opportunities. The actor who was seen as a child artist in the 2010 film Striker has reportedly signed a Gujarati movie. In a chat with television news portal Tellychakkar.com, Bhavya said this about his exit from the show: “I quit the show in January. This ‘eight years and eight months’ journey has been really fruitful for me. I have enjoyed working with my the show’s cast and Asit sir (Asit Modi, Producer of the show). The way my fans have showered me with love all these years, I would want them to support me for my future endevours as well.”
