Senior BJP leader Eknath Khadse, reacting on the speculation over his interaction with leaders of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), said that he’s like a beautiful girl that every boy wants. “My admirers are increasing with each passing day. But, I won’t leave the BJP,” said Khadse.
“Different political parties are approaching me as they want me to join them. My situation these days is like a beautiful girl who every boy wants on his side. However, I cannot think of leaving BJP,” Khadse told a leading newspaper.
Khadse, who said that he’s given 40 years of his life to the party and cannot leave it in any circumstances, also said that he’s a true BJP activist, who would remain with the party.
The rumours of Khadse quitting the BJP and joining NCP started doing the rounds when the former recently attended birthday celebrations of senior leader of NCP Satish Patil at Jalgaon with NCP leader Ajit Pawar.
Khadse, in his clarification, said that he wasn’t thinking the way media reports suggested. He added, “I’d already spoken to Ajit Pawar about what was in my mind.”
However, this is the not the first time Khadse made such news. He had once hosted Opposition leaders at his Jalgaon farmhouse in April. Khadse, who was considered as the second most important politician in the Fadnavis led government in Maharashtra, was forced to resign from minister’s post on June 4 in 2016.
