BJP MLA Raja Singh while addressing a public gathering recently in Hyderabad, threatened to behead those who will oppose the construction of Ram Temple at the site where once Babri Masjid stood in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. Singh said, “To those who warn of dire consequences if Ram Mandir is built. We were waiting for you to say this, so we can behead you.”
It’s not new for Raja Singh, who represents the Goshamal constituency in Hyderabad, to make such provocative comments. In December 2015, Singh warned and threatened to kill anybody who’s found in possession of beef. Then in July 2016, reacting to thrashing of Dalits by Gau Rakshaks in Gujarat, Singh had said in a Facebook post: “Jo Dalit gai ke maas ko le ja raha tha, jo uski pitai hui hai, woh bohut hi achhi hui hai.”
Singh’s latest comments came after Union Water Resources Minister Uma Bharti’s comments, who on Saturday said that Ram Temple is a matter of belief for her and she’s even ready to go to jail for it.
