Forty-four-year-old Murtaza A Hamid recently offered to donate Rs 110 crore from his taxable income to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the welfare of the Pulwama attack martyrs. The scientist had also sent an email to seek an appointment with the PMO to meet PM Narendra Modi for the same.

Hamid told TOI, “The inspiration to help and support those who lay down their lives for our motherland should be in the blood of every citizen of the country.”
As reported in TOI, Hamid said that Hamid said if govt. had recognised his inventions timely, incidents like Pulwama attack could have been averted. He had also claimed that his innovation ‘Fuel Burn Radiation Technology,’ helps to trace and locate any vehicle or object without GPS, camera or any other technical equipment.
As per the same reports, Hamid had claimed that he’d forwarded the same proposal to hand it over free of cost to the government and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in September 2016 but he received initial approval two years later in October 2018.
Hamid, who works as a researcher and scientist in Mumbai, completed his graduation in commerce from Government Commerce College, Kota. Hamid, who is blind since birth, hails from Kota and is a resident of Mumbai.
