Bride, 63 guests quarantined as groom tests COVID-19 positive three days after wedding

A newly-married woman and 63 guests at her wedding were quarantined after her 22-year-old husband tested positive for COVID-19 on June 15, just three days after their marriage in Palghar district of Maharashtra.

Santosh Shinde, Jawahar Tehsildar, told PTI that the young man, who is a laboratory assistant, had tested negative before his marriage. How, however, tested positive three days after his marriage.

Palghar district has recorded more than 1,900 cases so far with over 60 people losing their life to COVID-19.
