Cadence Academy welcomes new students with a bang at freshers party in Nagpur

Cadence Academy, to commence the new academic year and welcome its new students, organised a ‘Disco’ theme freshers’ party at M’s Repose Restro Lounge in Nagpur on September 8. Rupesh Kumar, Managing Director, Cadence Academy of Design, welcomed the students at the party, which was a great way to break the ice between the seniors and the juniors at the academy.

Abiding by the theme of the party, a lot of students were seen sporting costumes, which were a hit in the 80s. Freshers and seniors created an energetic atmosphere as they gave electrifying dancing and singing performances one after the other.

After the performances, freshers’ participated in the Mr and Miss Freshers competition. During the competition, freshers had to first introduce themselves and then answer questions asked by the judges – Rupesh Kumar, Amit Zham, Shweta Zham, Sanjay Tripathi and Arunima Panse.

At the end of the competition, Akshay Mandan and Swapna Jagdishia were adjudged as Mr Fresher and Miss Fresher respectively. The ‘Best Dressed’ awards were won by Omesh Ramani and Ritu Jethani. Surbhi Bhardwaj, who rocked the floor with an amazing performance on ‘Laila’, was given the Best Performance award.

Students, during the freshers’ party, were also recognised for their academic achievements. While Kaushal Agrawal was adjudged as the Student of the Year from Interior Design, Devanshi Joshi and Dhwani Gandhi were given the Student of the Year award from Fashion Design. Himanshu Gehani and Kehkasha Khilji were also given awards for 100% attendance.

After the awards function, students and faculty were entertained by singer Dr Neil Ingale, who sung popular Bollywood numbers for everybody. Students, after Dr Neil’s sensational singing session, rocked the dance floor as they danced like nobody’s watching together. The freshers’ party was hosted by RJ Shruti.
